Yesterday was Malaysia's day.. Everyone was happy celebrating, it was the day everyone gathered to honour our heroes who fought for our country.. But it wasn't for me.. It was the day I lost someone whom I've spent my 22 years with, my beloved brother Sean..
He got involved in an accident while he was driving his super bike at Kuala Penyu road.. I don't know how it happened and what the story was about. I only remember how painful it was waiting for my parents' phone call to confirm the news.. Meanwhile, everyone prayed for him hoping that he was still alive. Here, I really thank all my friends, pastors, cell groups and leaders that prayed for him and encouraging me, calling me or messaging me to stay strong, from the bottom of my heart..
But i encountered God's presence.. While my parents were on the way to see him in Kuala Penyu Hospital, news said he already passed away.. But mum told me not to give up yet till they see his body.. When my parents arrived, she touched his body and it was still warm, even after 4 hours! There was a slight chance and so Dad yelled his name and kept pressing his heart, he was still unconscious but there was heart beat and shallow breathing.. But, things were not as good as i hoped for, he passed away at the end..
I was angry and I didn't know what to do.. But my bf and a friend told me, at least he waited for my parents to be by his side before he left us.. He was not alone at his very last breath, he had mum and dad to accompany him. And he died doing something he really love..
Yes, the feeling was very unreal, very vague.. I still cant accept that he's gone.. But I know for sure, he is in a better place now.. Kor, I promise to be strong, to take care of mum and dad, and shan shan.. May you rest in peace. You're forever my brother.. You're in a different world now but you're still in our thoughts.. I love you Kor..
Guess what Kor? We heard alot of good things about you from your friends.. They told us all the good deeds you had done for them.. It was good listening to all these comments about you. So many of your friends turned up at your last journey on Earth. I really hope you are free and happy where ever you are now.. Do give us some dreams to tell us about yourself okay? I miss you already..

Hi Joanna here! WAIT...!

JOANNA?!

You may be wondering what in the world is this woman doing on Sam's blog.

Sam just downloaded Blogger on her phone and I'm merely doing her the favour of writing her first mobile blog. We're currently bored out of our wits waiting for her car to be serviced so I'm just killing time by 'invading' her blog space.

That's all for now. Shall invade again some other time! Toodles!

Before I talk about relavant things related to the title above, I have a reason for blogging at this hour. It's my 4th day of posting in Taiping Hospital in Perak. Hospital settings, doctors, nurses and people in Taiping are really nice but there's nothing much to do here. I am bored of staying in the hotel room the whole time (excluding times in hospital and for meals). So I decided to blog. Meeeh...
So here are some food, mainly from Penang and 1 or 2 from Kota Kinabalu. =) Enjoy!

 Steam Chicken
From Hot Bowl Nyonya Delight, AbuSiti Road, Penang
This is 1 of the best chicken I've eaten so far.
It is very soft and tasty.

 White Curry
From Hot Bowl Nyonya Delight, AbuSiti Road, Penang
It is very unique cos you can put your own amount of sambal into
it or you can choose to eat it without sambal
to taste the original flavour.
I personally prefer without sambal.

Hot Stone Rice
From Kim Gary (Gurney branch)
It is similar to the Korean bibimbap.

Deep Fried Mantis Shrimp
From Anson Park Restaurant, Penang
It is really good. Honestly, I have never tried before
this, so I can't tell whether this is the best.

Chicken Teriyaki + Japanese mushrooms
From Sakae Sushi (1st Avenue branch)

Corn Shave Ice
From Black Ball (1st Avenue branch)
Very special and cute combination.
A taiwanese dessert.

Pork Brain soup
From a restaurant in Hilltop, Kota Kinabalu.
Drinking the soup itself is delicious but tasting the
brain is a bit yucky. I can't take the texture of the brain.
But it is good to give it a try.

Tamparuli mee
From Kedai Kopi Kheng Swee Hing, Tamparuli, Sabah
It is a must try fried noodle in Sabah. It is delicious.
But non-local may find it ordinary or won't appreciate the taste as
much as Sabahans do.

Nyonya Prawn in Coconut
From Hai Boey Seafood Restaurant, Penang
It was not as good as it seems but it is very unique.

Thousand Island chicken
From Xuan Xin Restaurant, Gurney Plaza, Penang
Delicious. It has serai in it, smells and tastes really good.

Crab Porridge
From Xuan Xin Restaurant, Gurney Plaza, Penang
Was a bit disappointed with this. The picture in the menu was deceiving.
I can't taste the crab and the porridge was quite tasteless.

Blogging about these food in the middle of the night makes me hungry. I should go to sleep now. Hope you enjoyed reading this post. Well, I enjoyed blogging about it. =D

Good night everyone! <3 p="p">

Hi ya! These nail arts are done long long time ago. I got all the ideas from the nail art tutorial from YouTube (I'm not a creative person, sadly) It took me about an hour to finish each of the simple nail art.. I can't imagine doing a more complex nail art.. Brrrr... So here are some of the pictures.. Enjoy~! <3

This was my very first nail art =)

Dear Reader,

Hi ya! Its been a very very long time since I last updated my blog. The previous semester was extremely busy! Time flew even faster than a rocket for me. It was my last semester here in Dublin and I'll be heading home to Malaysia in Feb. I felt like it was just a few months ago that I just got here, can't believe that I have been here for 2.5 years already. O.O

Okay, cut the crap. This post is more of what I've been doing since new year. I've been studying, for my exams! ugh.. not happy with it. Felt  pretty stressed out this semester cos 2 out of 3 modules are new to us. Well, we learnt some basics and biochemistry in 1st year and that's it. AND, i forgot about all of them.. Oppss. =X So more effort is needed to study each lecture. Sometimes I really wonder, how am I gonna be a doctor? How am I gonna save lives? Oh my... How did the doctors remember all the things?! But there's few words which I think I'll remember for life. They're just too cute! Haha.. For example: pseudohypoparathryroidism, pseudopseudohypothyroidism, thymoma, Orphan Annie, etc. Don't be shock by all these terms! XD

I've been waiting to go home the moment January strikes in. I miss my home so much! My family, my friend AND not to forget, THE FOOD!!!!! How can someone not miss Malaysian food huh. Plus, I'll be studying in the food heaven, Penang! I hope I won't gain too much weight. Heehee.

Finally, exam has ended last week. I felt like my shoulder is so light and free now! But next thing to worry, results. =/ I'm really worried about 1 of the forensics questions. All thanks to my lousy English. =( I did not understand the word, so I wrote about the wrong thing. Ugh.. Dear God, please help me. *fingers crossed*

First day of holiday was really awesome! But, I'm feeling very bored now. I just can't sit still at home in front of the lap top for the whole day. I got so frustrated watching drama the whole day! This is part of the reason why I started blogging again. XD I wonder how am I gonna utilize my 2.5 weeks of boredom. Family coming on 9th of Feb. Yay! And then I'll be travelling around UK! Wheeee~!! Can't wait.

I think that's about it for now. =D

Thanks for dropping by! <3
